Jesus brings clarity to us all through the eyes of a blind beggar

Sermon for October 25, 2015 – Mark 10:46 – 52

Listen to the sermon here:

The healing story of “Blind Bartimaeus” challenges us to consider how Jesus responds to those of us who cry out for mercy.

Jesus calls us to remove the barriers that separate us from him – not only the culture that tells us to be quiet and go away, not only our developing blindness but also the trench coats of life and the cans that fill them up, that have become our identity and sign of security. Our relationship with Jesus begins when when we say, “enough is enough” and cry out for his mercy that we do not deserve.
